Shayan is a village and spa resort in Khust district, Zakarpattia, about 15–18 km from Khust. The resort sits in the Tysa valley at the foot of Great, Middle and Little Shayan. These hills belong to the volcanic Vyhorlat-Hutyn ridge and shelter the valley from wind. Shayan made its name with carbonated mineral water sold as «Shayanska»: bottling began in 1964, and the sanatorium has operated since 1952.
Nearby lies Shayan Lake, also called the Siloam Bath, an artificial lake in a former quarry. In summer people swim and take boats out on it. Water treatments run all year, and May to October suits hikes in the hills.
