Bukovel is Ukraine's largest ski resort. It lies next to the village of Polianytsia in Nadvirna district, with its base at about 900 metres. Runs come down from five mountains, the highest being Dovha (1,372 m). You'll find slopes for beginners and experienced skiers, a snow park, evening skiing and a ski school. Snow cannons cover most runs, so the season depends less on snowfall.
You can ski here from December to mid-April. In summer Bukovel turns into an active holiday resort: ride a mountain bike, hike the ridges or spend the day on the beach at the Lake of Youth. May and September are quieter and cheaper than winter.
